Hey guys. If you remember, I put on a "hardware store" prop panel at SW Celebration III. I focused on making SW props (blasters, sabers, Sandtrooper backpacks, gaffi sticks, etc.) from every day, easily obtainable material. No resin or vacuforming. Rather, material any beginner will feel comfortable starting out with. Such as making an E-11 from wood and PVC or a backpack from tupperware and wash bins.
I'm going to be conducting the panel again at CIV, and I could use some help updating my examples. In addition to showing off some in-person prop examples, I'll have a PowerPoint slide show that will show props "in process", starting with (ideally) a photo of all the raw parts, construction photos, and then finished pics. People are really amazed to see what you can do with a 2'x4' and a dremel, so this panel is intended to inspire fans to try their hand at the hobby.
If you have any pics, especially any before/after images, I'd love to see them. I'll give credit in the slide show (if you wish) for the maker. You can email them to me at Scott (@) skaught.com. High res isn't necessary, since this will not be printed, so regular old 72-dpi images are preferred.
Thanks in advance for your help.
