Help section..

I was wondering if the RPF would consider opening a help section?.

I know we have a general modeling forum where we can post tips and ask for help on constuction problems, but I think that this section is used more for wips and postings about non-too authentic or not so exact replica's and it suits that need.

I think topics for help would get far more hits if they had there own forum. I know the infomation to solve or work round most problems is here on the RPF somewhere, but wouldn't it be better to have it all centralised?.

If others are like me they don't like starting to many topics, so tend to ask for help within there own thread, but unless someone has an interest in the topic of the thread in the first place the plea for help sometimes gets missed.

So things like....

How do you mold small parts?.
Help i've ssstuck my fingersss to the keyboard..
How do you scribe details?.
What to use, water based or oil based clay?.
Weeping resin, can it be cured?.

That kind of thing.

Yes, no, maybe?

Hello, thanks for the suggestion, but looking through the topics on the first few pages I don't agree with you. I see topics on plaster casting, painting, filler, paint removal, styrene shaping, Rub N Buff, prototyping, lighting methods and sources, glue, measurements, etc. By using the search function I further found threads on weeping resin, clay types and uses, and molding. Of all of those threads, I only see one that hasn't gotten a response. In my opinion, adding more forums for modelling would only further decentralize the information.
