Help releasing fiberglass from plastic

Hi! I purchased some time ago a X-Wing helmet. I started to reinforce it with resin fiberglass, but it became too heavy. I tried to release it, but it was impossible. Any idea of how to separate the fiber from the plastic? Thanks.

Once the fiberglass has cured there's no getting it out without damaging the helmet.

you could try heating the plastic to peel it off, but then the fiberglass becomes the part and you destroy the plastic.

What about Acetone? Doesn't that thin out the resin? I may be wrong though, just figured I'd mention it

I thought about using acetone but I was worried about if it could melt the plastic. I looks there is no return. Well, I´ll have the head well protected :unsure
