HELP - My Balls are Sticky!

Okay, so I am trying to make a couple of pyramid balls from Caprica, but I can't seem to find a paint that doesn't dry sticky on the smaller soccer balls.

I've tried flat black testers paint, automotive paint, and another some time back that I just can't remember the brand of.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to a paint that won't dry sticky?

When that dries, do I need vinyl paint to paint on top of that or can I use testors?

Vinyl paint for both colors. I assume you're doing the red first, then the black?

You can also try Plasti Dip Spray in black.

Black is first. I saw some pics close up and the red was on top.
