Help locating a vintage kit.

I know that car kits are not that popular here but maybe some of you know where i can look.

Looking for a 1/43 scale kit of a 1961 Convertible Alfo romeo Giulieta Spider. There is a kit made by a company called "Tron". Kit # i believe is "P21". It is a resin body kit made some time ago. I could not find much else on it. Got that info from a ebay auction that already ended and not much more on google.

Want to build it for my dad. He had one before i was born. Sold it when i cam along for $400. Man, if he had only kept it...

The 58 to me looks dead on for the 61, but if you have photos you could decide. I would just take it off the base that says 1958, make your own base (a nice hardwood base would compliment it well) paint the car to match your dad's, detail it and have a custom plate engraved with 1961 and other pertinent info, attached to the new base.

Look through the rest of the tron site though. Just a thought. I don't know what all the differences with the spider there were, but it maybe something you can add on as a custom. They have actual parts you can order as well.

Thanks. The 58 looks real cose. The other one is very different. Will investigate.

From looking online, the 58 looks really close. Now, off the shelf you probably know die-cast or mass produced models aren't all that hot, but with some filled and detail paints I have seen remarkable transformations. Hope it all works out for you.

Thanks guy's. The 60 would probably work. I am sure the die cast would be just find too. Will investigate both.

Let us know how it turns out. I have repainted/customized cars before to match ones I had and for other people as well, to match what they had/or did have. Its a lot of fun
