Could be wrong, but I think I've got three in my electric shaver. A bigger photo would help, but it looks like the cutting disc from a electric shaver.

Depending on what size it is it looks a bit like a Games Workshop Space Marine wheel:

There are 2 different sizes though the larger one is hard to get as they no longer sell them.

For the games workshop wheels, the small one is .75 inches, the larger one is 7/8ths inch.

Are you sure the part has more depth?
It looks exactly like a lock washer (right down to the stamped steel edges).
Unless you have a side view that shows otherwise I'd say it's a lock washer.

Just going by the front and back pics..it looks to me like that Lego truck wheel with the Lock washer attached to the front.

that looks about right doesnt it :) thanks for your help i will get some lego wheels and give it a try i new you guys would be able to help :)

well there are a lot of lego wheels for different sized kits. This may be a 90's one that you don't see much these days.

I am 90% sure its a Lego wheel. My son has a tone of them from years and years of kits. I can go down tonight in his bin and find a few I am sure that should match up. Given the usage size and such, makes sense to use something like that for that knob.
