Help ID this prop

Hi all

Here's a 'mystery' prop piece which I would love to ID - does anyone recognise it?





Indiana Jones? The Mummy maybe...?

It's nothing I recognize from The Mummy or Indiana Jones.

Looks like a fish — or a clasp or something.

Really from chatting to the guy I received these from - another member here. He received a set of 4 of them along with a copy of the Book of the Dead, I believe, but is as much in the dark as we are re. their origin.

Even though it might not help much, any chance of a clear picture? If your camera has a macro setting, use that. Take the picture from about a foot away, zoom in and use macro. Should help a bit in getting a clearer photo.

I hadn't considered that possibility - yeah, could be I guess.

It looks vaguely Egyptian in design to me.

I just assumed it was from Evil Dead, but I will enquire further...

Yes, I think it was the book from Evil Dead 1 and 2, then Army of Darkness.....But I'm not sure this piece comes from these movies....don't remember...sorry

Hmm - could it be part of one of the costumes from Army of Darkness then?

Its part of a book of the dead casting. That one of the 4 feet that hold the buzzard beaks to the front cover of the book. Those sides would go around the back of the book. I would guess probably from a different cast than mine which are from wakal.
