So this morning I just woke up to an email from Hellkitchen, although it was from Diane, but anyways she said she is helping Kris work through his emails. She gave me a quote for a full urethane suit for $9600 shipped. She also said it looks to be a 5-8 month turn around time because Kris is the only one working on the suits.

Just thought I would share with everyone, because I know there are people on here saying they have no heard from Kris in quite some time. I really want one of his suits but giving someone this kind of money and basically have little communication if at all and a turn around time of who knows

Yep, I agree. last year he told me there is about 4~6 weeks wait time. I've heard someone wait for his complete TDK suit about 16 months

It's really unfortunate because obviously he has very high quality work due to demand, but delivering on it is a whole different ball game. I am willing to spend the money to get what he's making, but I am not willing to put money out when he cannot keep up with orders or even communication. 5-8 months is obviously no where near what people here are saying.

It seems the only option other than HK is UD Replica, but for those who want that screen replica suit there isn't any other option besides putting something together yourself (if you're that talented ) or GCFX but I know they have been banned here and the quality is no where what HK puts out.

...sigh...no real good options.

Yes but if you real want a HK suit and don't want to wait too long time, I think you can try to buy a uesd suit.

Yeah I know there is a used suit floating on the forums here, but it does have some minor issues (not taking away from how awesome the suit is) but with that kind of money I would prefer to get one new. But then again might be wishful thinking based off everyone's issues with HK.

I saw another company which I believe is based outta London, they have a Facebook and they are called "Revolution Design FX" I'm waiting to here if they commission suits

i actually got a tdk cowl from revolutionfx. shipped pretty quick, was very pleased with it. just my experience though
pretty sure hes on the forum selling man of steel stuff. w2228226 i just realized u are the guy that sold me ur UD suit last yr. lol

I think that price is for a full build from head to toe with mesh suit and armor mounted.

just be careful with mysuperheroguy too. He's banned here for recasting also. Kris' stuff is amazing, waiting is definitely a killer when you want something so bad, but his stuff is top notch.

BTW. A person's personally life ie divorce shouldn't be a factor, so no need to bring that into light.

Just wanted to add that my HK chest couldn't be described as perfect. If the second had suit only has a few minor issues, I'd go with that, rather than putting up with Kris' inability to keep any kind of promise.

also, don't forget that whilst the UD suit may not be as accurate, you can unzip the thing easily when you start feeling uncomfortable, it has better mobility, and still looks pretty damned good. I love my suit, but dread putting it on - it's incredibly hot and heavy.

Yeah I am talking with the seller of the the HK suit in the Junkyard...I am not going to hold my breath on getting a new suit from him.

I was close to getting a UD Suit, but I only plan on wearing once maybe twice and then having it on display in the man cave, so for me I want something with the closest to screen replica I can get. But I couldnt agree more about the UD Replica suit and the convenience, thanks for the tip

As far as the wait, its not just the wait for the suit but it also seems to be the communication and lack there of. Especially if someone is prepared to drop almost $10k on something you think he would be more responsive with emails.

I agree with you though, if you are going to drop almost 10k on a suit the communication has to be there especially if you have to wait an eternity to get this thing.
