Hellboy Samaritan help...

Hi all,

Recently I discovered that the barrel release on my Sideshow Samaritan has been snapped in half - my girlfriend's nephews are prime suspects.

I've given up on the idea of contacting Sideshow as the last time I needed assistance from them, they were less than helpful. The rubber on one of the bars that hold the gun on the display stand fell apart, Sideshow told me to get in contact with the ebay store where I purchased it.

I've made a replacement by pinning the broken parts then moulding and casting using a low melt alloy. I'm still not happy though as there is detail absent on the new part.

I remember seeing threads where people were told to smash up their Samaritans and photograph them in order to receive a replacement -
does anyone here happen to have that piece still?

Here's a photo of the part that I made but it's not perfect;

Can anyone help?

Cheers,

Anson

I'm actually in the same boat, I need a replacement part for the same piece. I was going to make a cast of it as well.

Thats why i don't open my gun up , it says on the stand and i don't handle it, good thing i know which part not to move...sorry guys

Taz and Mola, Got any photos of the broken pieces you have?

The part I had broke in a particular area and when I tried pinning it I killed some detail.
If you guys have that piece and its cleanly broken I could use it to make another using the same metal that Sideshow used. There's a 1mm brass pin that just pops out when drilled and the whole piece comes off.

If any of you guys want a replica piece I'd be very happy to make one for you providing I can get a broken part with all the details intact...

Hi all,

Recently I discovered that the barrel release on my Sideshow Samaritan has been snapped in half - my girlfriend's nephews are prime suspects.

I'm in the same predicament, (although I have no idea how Anson's girlfriend's nephews got all the way from Ireland to my house in California!).

I'm going to try molding and casting a replacement in pewter. I'll post my results.

Same problem with mine, was going to try and cold cast a copy with aluminium powder but haven't had the chance to try and remove the rest of the piece from the frame.

Man, seeing all the people that have this problem, i'd be interested in one as well, mine hasn't broken but i'd like to be prepared just in case.
