Hey all, I've been MIA for a few weeks now. Sorry about leaving everyone hanging as it comes to the mark 42 files. I literally couldn't read. (stupid brain...) but I'm just about back to normal.
So here is what I have been working on for the last couple days. I have been going to town with my new solid oodles 3 3d printer! Here is the mark one arc reactor I built with it. I found the files on thingiverse but I had to do quite a bit of work to make them actually printable.
I had to print 15 total pieces, which I did in I think 4 separate prints. Total printing time ~7 hours.
Here is the first print.

After printing all parts and assembling them:

Then paint and installing leds;

And finally powered up!

I have since designed and printed a screen for the center but that will go in the next one. Also, the battery wasn't very strong in these pics.
It's a first attempt but I like it. It will be quite an upgrade to my gatorade reactor that is in my mark 4 suit now. :cool

The diffusers were printed in white abs at a very low infill. Still it doesn't let enough light through. Also, I designed another light ring that has 10 more leds in in it. I ordered a roll of transparent abs. It should be here in a couple days. That's what I'll use on the next one. (that will be 39 leds! And I'm going to add 3 more to the center. For a total of 43 leds in this thing. It should glow like the sun! :lol)

Here is another version I built. I just didn't like it that much. Some of the leds died on installation. Hence, the dark spots.

Great stuff Helagak! Looks awesome all painted up. Interested to see the difference with transparent abs used instead. :thumbsup

Leave it to me.... I tore the mark gatorade out of my suit to use my new arc. After I got it in I noticed one of the leds wasn't working. So I pulled the arc back out and took it apart to fix the light...
It was a bigger job that I expected...

I broke some pieces so I had to print new ones. And I decided heck since it's already apart, let's use the new translucent main crystal and light ring with 14 extra leds... I wired the light ring as a circuit rather than having all the wires I had before.

That worked pretty good.

Then I wired up the main crystal.

It's pretty bright now. Even tho there is still one led not working!! I even tried replacing g that led and it's resistor... Oh well it's bright enough no one else should notice...
Now I. Just waiting for the support cage to finish drying so I can attempt to put it back together without breaking anything!
We will see today after work.

Just thought I'd update you. My reactor is rebuilt and brighter than ever!

But I'm not done! I wanted to build the triangle in a circle reactor. I believe that is from the mark 6. Maybe 7.
Anyways, I built it from scratch in blender using pictures from Google.

I'm printing it now. Here is the first piece.

*grrrrrooowwwwwllll*
Do want!
Btw, you can fix that line down the middle of His face by changing the order of how you apply your mirror and subdivision modifiers.
:)

no its just the symmetry modifier :p when i will collapse it into the object it will disappear !
dont worry haha i got it ;)
