I'm new to this site and recently decided i wanted to make my own MOS costume. I have no clue where to start though. I know that i want to use lycra for the suit, and micro suede fort the cape. i've recently learned that the real suit is a 3 layer suit and i'd love to do the same. any and all inputs are welcome.

Hello and welcome! I just found this today so I apologize if this thread is dead, but to help a bit, if your sewing your suit, make sure you have a good heavy duty sewing machine with good needles. I haven't used or seen lycra but I have sewn heavy fabrics, and I broke a lot of needles the first time because I had a smaller machine and didn't have correct needles. I hope this helps
