I walked in the door to see this beauty ready to be opened

The pics do not do it justice, perfect for the right hander :)

Another great replica from MR

Hopefully they will release Barbossa's pistol and ring, Then My POTC collection will feel complete

I cannot wait for the chest to be released!!!!

Sweet, need to add this one to my collection soon as well. Have had a spot to hang it for months but still not in a position to order it yet.:redface


The chest is supposed to be shipping soon to isn't it? That's one piece I think I'll have to pass on, at least for quite a while.
 
They MADE his sword? I thought Jack was the only sword made from PTOC like Peter's sword was the only one from Narnia. Wow! Makes me hope they'll do Norrington's smallsword!
 
Nice looking sword. Never had the chance to admire the design of that hilt before, and must say, its quite cool looking.

Glad to see the new items are on their way too. These means that soon we will have our chests.
 
So cool! Even cooler after seeing an unused basket hilt in the maker's garage :cool Apparently it was probably the lightest sword in film history due to Rush's arthritis.

Where did you hear that? It looks bigger than the Jack cutlass so I'm guessing it isn't lighter.
 
why are they even bothering releasing the Dead Mans Chest??????
They should be releasing Elizabeth swanns chest!!!! lol
 
I never really paid much mind to the POTC swords before on account that they didnt look too interesting, but this perticular peice makes me rethink that notion...awsome hilt and handguard.

Indeed... it looks very unique. A one of a kind sword design. Not like Jack's which looks like it has been used in every movie that requires a saber. But if they want to make a REAL unique design, MAKE NORRINGTON'S SMALLSWORD DANG IT!

The guy who made the sword :)Swatton's chief assistant...to whom I am apprenticed.
Bigger, not heavier. The blade of the prop was thinner than the rest and the inside basket was ground out to make it as light as possible. Jack's cup hilt was cast iron, quite a bit heavier than Barbosa's. Geoffrey has what he refers to as a "wanker's elbow," and had his sword modified several times to help him wield it.
