Heavy Predator Wip

So, I have started the second sculpture of predator head. I think it looks better than the first. Problem is that I used different clay, which dries too soon. That means that the sculpture is on many places cracked. I just hope it stays together until I finish it.

Today I finished the second sculpture of the predator head. I added lower mandibles and made a few another adjustments. It's not perfect, but it will have to suffice.

Thanks, I just hope that I´ll be able to finish the head in the near term. There is still so much other things that need to be made.

So, the second try for the head was unsuccessful. I tried to do it the same way as the first one, but things were going wrong. Clay which I used dries too quick causing formation of cracks. I also had some problems with latex. On the end when I took down the latex head from the sculpture mouth was completely glued into itself.
I have to find another way how to make the predator head. I think that I will make just the bio helmet and the rest as it comes.

This is the third try for the predator head. I have started with bio helmet. I'm using the similar method as with the armor, but with different material. This time I'm not using the carpet but mirelon.

It was a long time since I've posted something here. So here is some progress. I worked on this during the summer. In November, I will continue painting and than I will work on dreadlocks if I'll have a time.

So work continues. I have done some paint job on the head this week.
I still have to do a few things on the helmet and after that, I will start working on dreadlocks.
Soon, perhaps, I will finish my predator head.

Thanks. It will still need big amount of time, but sometimes I really believe that I will finish it.

So I have started with working on dreadlocks. They are made from sealing foam. I have already worked on them some time ago, now I have just painted them. Next move is to make some simple dreadrings.
