Kyosho makes scissors designed to cut out the wheel well openings on Lexan R/C car bodies. The Lexan car bodies are likely much thinner than the visor you want to cut down but you may want to check and see if Kyosho makes something more heavy-duty.

Re: Cutting Polycarbonate Plastic?

If you can, takie it off hte mount and flatten it out. Tape off the pattern you want, and score it with an x-acto blade. Bend and pop it. Clean up with a bit of sand paper if you want. Do it all the time at work.

Thanks!

I actually went after it with a Dremel and a cutting wheel, then sanded down the edges...but here's the next thing...

Now I'd like to bend it just a little more and bring the sides in a little so it's not so round on the sides.

Anybody have any suggestions on how to heat and bend?

Thanks!

Steve

p.s., Nope...don't own a heat gun...

A good hair dryer on HIGH heat should do the trick if the plastic is not too thick. If not, Harbour freight sells cheap heat guns.
