the frame im goin forhappens right after obi takes ponda boba and doctor evazian out in the cantina, he turns off the saber looks at chewie and starts to help luke up, his saber turns on his belt so that light hits the activation strip, (the part that should have a calc strip.

the time stamp should be around 45:26/159:33

help me RPF screencappers... your my only hope.

KMplayer (free) with CoreAVC H.264 codec (cheap)

KMplayer is a GREAT video player with HD support, and the CoreAVC codec is one of the best LOW cpu overhead H.264 codecs together they offer great HD support...

KMplayer also has several screen capture options, including the "capture original size" since many current video cards/monitors resolutions won't display 1080 HD in full glory... And you can step through frames to capture several by simply pressing F

Hope this is what you're looking for?

Oldken - credit where credit is due.
This is the first new ANH Obi saber cap I've seen since I can remember, excellent work.
Thanks spastromech also.
Although it looks like a 7 lens bubble strip I'm afraid.
It also looks as though there's not a cap on the handwheel.
Light's from the left, highlight on the right-hand inside edge of the handwheel.

EDIT: From the size and angle of the highlight on the centre cube's sloping face, it seems this is in the
chronicles position also. There's a hint of a groove above the centre cube section.

Great shot....now all we need is for someone to painstakingly go through and make HD captures of all Obi wan's saber scenes.

...and once you're done with that, don't forget to post them for us.

Agreed.
We need caps of the 'cape fall' scene in particular.

OH - and I'd like caps of Luke's Macros. :angel :p

Yes, screencaps of Obi saber from scenes on the deathstar please.
[/b]

the light plays all around on the pommel in that scene, i wish my monitor were a little brighter, i mighta seen the strip better, sorry for gettin anyones interest peeked... :(

serafino you got PM. B)

and ill tell you one thing, there is a difference in whats inside the emitter from scene to scene, sometimes its like the inside of romans... (the hero) where there is a little chrome wheel thing with 2 holes, sometimes its just empty and hollow and dark, sometimes it appears empty and shiny though???

and also... damn can you ever see the white wire commin from obis robe to the hilt. :lol

id heard it was there, but its obvious and horrible once you see the HD in slowmo.

thats right, ive sat and watched that scene in super slowmotion, frame by frame.

and i still think it would rule if someone would make a site that had every frame of vader, TKs and obis saber... thats really all you need. :D

but as im too stupid to figure out how to take a screen cap... i dont reckon that person is me. :lol

I played around with the above image some.

I still don't see some details others are seeing, but then I do wear glasses, so...
