I am attempting to put together a Hawkeye costume as part of a Halloween ensemble.
View attachment 119924I chose to go in a more tactical iteration of the costume, I thought the movie one was a bit too "shiny" for me.
I am starting with the quiver, I bought some ac/heating duct and I marked out the pattern with a sharpie and cut away with a dremel and about 5 cutting discs. After that I spent quite some time removing all the metal shards off the piece with a grinding bit. I cut out some accent pieces out of cardboard, thin plastic would have worked better though but this is my first build. I hot glued the cardboard on and gave it a healthy base coat of flat black as the primer and gun metal as primary. I have to accent it a bit more with the purple screen pieces found on the side. For that I am using window screen patch kits that I will cut to shape, paint and attach.
I still have to do the arrows and filler pieces but that won't get done until Sunday the earliest.
Pictures of my version of the vest will be up by Saturday.
Any positive comments or tips will be appreciated. Thank you
