Hasbro Hero Millennium Falcon Modification

Great work on this John, those fan blades are crisp as can be. A lot of valuable reference for when I start my build.

Jay.

Thanks BarumBey

I've been very busy in work work.....May is always crazy

Got about 6 hours sleep over 48 hours......& have been working till 1 am every night for the past 2 weeks.......still more overtime ahead....but a bit quieter

Just a quick heads up of future issues of the DeAgo Falcon......MANDIBLES......& some parts I've been waiting for

I think I should be able to use some of these parts,....10% larger....

Question...for those of you who have already painted your Hasbro Falcon, or know how you plan to paint yours. I am curious when during the painting process you assembled the 2 halves and all of the parts you put on it?

I am torn if I should assemble it before priming and painting?

Or if I should prime and spray the parts, then assemble, then paint details?

Or if I should prime, spray, and paint details before assembling? Then just touch up after assembled?

Or some combination of these or if you have a better suggestion?

Thoughts?

Just to let you know

Here'ssss Johny!!

I had a month.....well since 27th April of EXTREME overtime......bringing the work computer home & working to 1-2am almost every night......no model touched AT ALL until hopefully tomorrow

I feel sick......major withdrawal symptoms

I need my fix

I bought some printed grilles made by TonyRR from shapeways......I might remove them again....I think they need to be in a bit deeper in the exhausts??......dunno?

Thanks very much guys.....SirCharles,,,,,she's a muscle car

I decided to ditch the original mandibles because they weren't completely flat......although I'd glued them to the foamex structure they still looked a bit bendy,....

I also extended the cockpit a bit because it looked more like the 5 footer shape,....not long enough to represent the 32" style

Thanks for looking

The docking bay ring slots on to keep the 2 halves together,...just for the photos

The portside mandible part taped in place just to see how it will look:

I'm REALLY impressed by the 3d printed & PE set I got off Gus, this really is another level,....the quality of print is exceptional,...& detail is beautiful,...he's thought of everything....This project was in limbo,....now it has re-ignited my interest

Looks awesome! Thank you very much for sharing, John! Can't wait to see your Falcon painted and weathered! :)

You know, one of these with a full complement of printed parts is still a lot cheaper than the deagostini falcon. (Not that I'm complaining about that glorious model)
