Thank you guys,....the red primer was used to spray over the branding that was printed on the Foamalux,.....but I like it,....makes a change from my usual grey

I have to ask how you all manage to make such clean edge cuts in this material that seems to have spawned directly from the groin of Satan himself. I'm about ready to throw in the towel as everything I've done looks such a dogs breakfast. I've tried heating the plastic (which does make it easier to cut) but the burrs and wonky edges are just depressing....

This looks really great! John, if you don't mind me asking, how you were able to buy the latest issue of the deAgostini magazine? Is there a store that sells them overseas in the UK?

Yes in the UK newsagents stock them,.....Easons is the shop where I check them out.....thanks Gus

J, that is the 'pit' I think of as the 'decoy launcher' since it looks like something that would pop-out canisters of something. Perhaps garbage disposal? ;^P

Still getting excellent 'fun mileage' out of it. eh? In spite of the plastic...

Ha.....yes....that sounds like a Han Solo essential modification!!

Done some more work on her....I moulded & cast the Jet fan from a 1/24 SeaHarrier to make the 6 fans for the engine deck:

Then to mount the seats for the other 2 pits

Every time someone mentions the fans, I think to me-self: Do they blow or do they suck? Plus, are fans on a spaceship like screen doors on a submarine? Looking at the 'smoke smudges' on the engine deck, I figure they blow... I guess 2001: spoilt me for fantasy-seye-pheye.

Consider they are exhausts for something , and being fans, must generate an significant thrust vector (in an atmosphere only, in space they could serve no function.

Regardless, they're just there to be cool (except they actually did something on the 5 footer of course.) And they do look excellent, 'J'

I've made seats for the other access pits to slot into for my Hasbro Hero Millennium Falcon mod......I used the another DeAgostini part for the port rear quarter piece.....it had to be adjusted a bit.....the extra 10% scale hid the pipework of the part,....so I had to reduce the size & angle of the pipes:

John, looks great, a real work of art. I have decided to build the Deag so I have lots of Shapeways parts for the Hasbro if anyone is interested.
