Ive noticed they are already in stock, dunno for how long already, but was wondering how good are they compared to the old MR...

They are all exactly the same except the Obi-Wan. They are made in the same factory using the same people and tools as MR.

The Obi-Wan was updated to make it lighter and, I am guessing, cut production costs. The MR one was a baseball bat made of lead. This one is a little thinner and weighs the same as the Luke ROTJ. They made it run on 3 AAA instead of 3 AA and the outer walls are thinner. The metal sections like the clamp and pommel are no longer heavily chromed and are now more of a polished aluminum. The gold neck section isn't gold coated anymore and is a separate brass piece. The blade holder is also different.

All other reports are that the sabers are exactly the same as their MR counterparts. They are using the same production facility afterall.

Maybe. Depends how they do it. It probably won't be accurately sized. There was an MR prototype people saw at CIV that was apparently hideously oversized. Not sure what hasbro's plans are. It probably won't be much smaller than any of the current ones. So expect it to be the diameter of the Obi-Wan ROTS or the Luke ROTJ.

i snagged the Obiwan from Walmart.com when they were $50 last week..... since they are sold out....
so question is.......... WHERE else can be buy them? I want a Double Maul BADDDDD

The Vader ESB is not like the MR version in anyway. It has a huge graflex clamp and no wires at all....hmm! Also, parts of the emitter were changed from metal to plastic!

That's because it's a Vader ANH not ESB. I have both of the MR FX Vaders and the one with the clamp and no wires is ANH.

Sorry I meant the diameter of the actual Dooku prop, not the FX, I assumed the FX would end up being oversized, just curious HOW oversized it might be.

Vader ESB (but I believe it's actually the MR Vader ANH)

Do the Vader and Maul look true red or are they the dark pink ones I've seen in stores?

I have the ANH and it was red, the ESB and Maul look pink to me.
