Has anyone started a XI Trek phaser holster???

Has anyone started a XI Trek phaser holster?
I have played around with it but have not had much
luck. My styrene skills are only at basic lvl.

If no one has started this yet, how about some tips
for me?

I believe they are vacu-formed.

Are the toys full size?

They look vacuformed, maybe just sculp one up and cast it, thats what I was thinking

Might be easy to do one of black kydex. Make a mold of wood and use a shop vac to draw it down.

I've noticed someone on eBay is selling them. I'm not sure how accurate they are to the original, but he sells them for the whole landing party set.

To me they don't seem that accurate, the seller keeps updted them via version 1, 2 ect.

I have seen them, but he wants a bit too much for them and they are not very screen accurate. It seems like a perfect project for someone here that has the skills, and
proper tools.

I'm not convinced that the toy phaser is actual size. It looks way too small, especially the handle.

Yeah, I'm with you on that. I think Playmates scaled the phaser down to fit on a blister card. The props in the film seem to be closer to Trek V Assault Phaser size to me, maybe just a little smaller.

Man, $60 for that eBay one seems excessive. I'll have to judge how much I fell like making my own.
