I bought a jedi belt from them a while ago. It was better then I expected considering how cheap it was. It's not the best thing on the planet but it looks good, decent build quality and it got to me quick.

well, a few have bought from customebase before on star wars products before, and they seem rather filmsy. I can tell you the quality isn't the best on my jedi outfit from them.
if you are looking for jack sparrow stuff? why not sithcamaro? sith-world?

I have bought from costumebase.... fabric was not preshrunk, smelled of death and was pretty much inaccurate. Overall, bad purchase, but you live and learn. When I washed the thing the fabric shrank big time, even using all the proper machine settings and air drying. The fabric was just plain wron g for th item and again, it was smelly.

Thanks for the replies...I thought it might be too good to be true (great price and the pics didn't look too bad...definately not completely screen acurae, but close.
Has anyone ever ordered the Jack Sparrow coat? does it have the 'smell' and shrinking problem?

I have his Han ANH costume and not really impressed. The price is right, but the quality isn't there. The pants are the poorest. The vest isn't too bad and might be the only piece I save.

well there was a guy on ebay i bought his jedi uppers off him, and they were from costumebase. will see what it looks like when it arrives.
looked decent to me, he sent pics of him wearing it the one and only time it was used. if its not great, thats not a problem, i only paid 31 bucks for the entire uppers, tunic, inner(dickie), outer, tabbards, and sash.

I just bought a few items from him (vest and 2 belts for Jack) They should be here by next week. I primarily bought the belts because the buckles were very nice for the price. Plus I got the vest for $40 by sending him a best offer thru Ebay. I see he gets a lot of positive feedback, so it can't be all bad. If you're a Sparrow on a budget, you gotta work with what you can afford. Sithcamaro has the best, but definitely not the cheapest.
I guess my approach is, "Hey it's a costume. I'm not going to be in a broadway play or a re-make of the movie, so why do I need to spend $100-$200 or more on a costume." Believe me, if you do the right work on these pieces you can get great authenticity. Maybe not screen accuracy, but I think a good authentic look will go a long way. No one at your costume parties or the like are going to say, "Hey! That vest is not the exact color!"

Ya, I'm not going for super accurate...just soemthing that will get the pictura across (hard to be an acurate Jack Sparrow when youre a girl...lol)

I purchased a CJS frock coat from this eBay site and alas the OBO was not worth the price. The coat fits fine but the sleeves are about 4 inches too short on me.:thumbsdown I ordered an XL.

I am 5' 11'' and weigh about 195lbs. My shoulder to wristbone length is 25 inches but the coat comes in at about 23 inches. Looks pretty funny when I tried it on with my shirt and waistcoat.
The movie version is longer and the sleeves hang low on JDs arms.

well the costume arrived from the seller. now this is supposed to be from that costume maker in singapore.
the parts of the costume look VERY nice, the outer tunic is even lined with satin. the sash tabbards, and outer tunic material looks almost like out of the movie, pretty close.
the inner tunic, isnt just a dickie, butr a full T shirt type tunic, with the front fold over to look like its a real tunic, not a mock one.
so from what im seeing, looks like i got a great deal for 31 bucks on this set.

You ordered an XL, but did u actualy get that size? just cause XL normally is long enouhg for peopel over 6 feet...so its weird that its too short. I'd be asking the seller for a new one..thats weird

I purchased a jedi belt and accessories and can say for the price I was impressed. I'd stand by any of his hard parts, but the soft ones I'm not so sure about. I considered getting an Imp Officer uniform from him, but worked out a deal locally. DV, definitely see what is up with the jacket!

I have the Darth Maul, Solo, BSG, Jedi Hard and Soft parts from them. Excellent for costuming. They even make nice displays. Uber-Accurate? Not close. Would anyone coming in your home think it was impressive (unless they are one of us)? Yes. They are great for Halloween or Cosplay. Just not "Replica" quality.
