Harrison Ford currently in negotiations for Star Wars Episode 7 !

I dont know about anyone else but I dont want to see my child hood hero a frail old man.

Have you seen a Harrison Ford film recently? He is far from a frail old man and that is certainly not how they will write him in the movie(s).

I still think he shouldn't be in them at all. He was p***y whipped in ROTJ, why would we want to see him now?

Yea thats now, like I said when the trilogy is complete. 80 is 80 no matter who you are.

Amazing how a few months spent encased in carbonite can change a man...

the skit was hilarious. I know Harrison doesn't like the character but if Disney throws enough money at him and his charities, then it will be so.

Well if you guys are dead set against him returning, I have a feeling that yer in for disappointment. I think he and the rest of the original 3 will be in the movie, even if it's just to kill them off.

My hope is that JJ feels differently but I guess we'll see!

:lol for everybody making fun of "old" Harrison, remember age comes for us ALL! (if we're lucky) :). Like it or not the characters we loved as kids have aged just as much as we have. The real question is : can they be integrated into an interesting story? Tha's a big maybe IMO.

People seem to forget that they are not making the ST only for the die hard Star Wars fans but also the casual viewer, who would be excited to see the OT actors, especially Harrison Ford, return. And Harrison Ford sells tickets with his star power which would bring in the general movie-going public as well. And I, for one, hate it when sequels explain away characters in dialogue instead of showing what happened, it always seems like a cheat and is very dissatisfying. If JJ and Kathleen Kennedy can get him to agree to do it, you can bet he will be back.

I think it's almost a certainty that Mark Hamill will return in some form, at least for Episode VII. And in a few brief interviews I've read online Hamill mentioned Carrie Fisher, so I won't be surprised if it's announced she's returning as well.

To convince Harrison Ford to come back (if they want him) they'll have to either write a part for Solo that Ford finds interesting, or throw so much money at him that it would be foolish for him to say no. I don't know if either is feasible; time will tell I suppose.

Personally, I'd prefer to see them in reasonably pivotal roles, or not at all; I don't want to see them in meaningless cameo appearances.

I see Pros and Cons to harry coming back. The main Pro is you cant have Star wars with out a rough rugged Han Solo Captain. The biggest Con is i really don't want to watch Han be killed off hes the star wars legend. Additional if he does happen to sign I suggest they get great insurance there's always that new chance that Han Solo has a real heart attack during get away scenes. Plus to match Ford they should make Chewy grey too!

I agree with that. A fleeting glimpse of them would be gratuitous and totally pointless, to say nothing of disappointing. I don't see them as being action heros at this stage of their lives, but they need to have some solid roles or none at all.

Agreed, although I lean heavily towards the latter...
