COLORADO -
Fanboy favorite and intergallactic smuggler, Harrison Ford, may
have a lot more than Jabba the Hutt to worry about after being
arrested on Tuesday evening at Colorado Springs airport.
On Tuesday morning Colorado law enforcement received an
anonymous tip regarding a cocaine shipment scheduled to arrive
at Colorado Springs airport via private plane.
After the plane touched down at 9:45 PM Colorado police and DEA,
disguised as airport employees, waited until the private plane came
to a complete stop before going in for the arrest. What the law
enforcement officers encountered was far more surprising than
anything they could have imagined.
Film actor ,Harrison Ford (67), along with two other men were
taken into custody after 2 kilos of cocaine were confiscated
from the luggage compartment of the aircraft.
Ford, who is well known for such blockbuster films as Star Wars
and the Indiana Jones series, made several comments during his
arrest, one of which alluded to a long time addiction to illegal drugs.
Ford was reportedly belligerent and on the verge of tears when he
was handcuffed.
After the arrest, Ford and the two other men were taken by
federal and local officials to an undisclosed location for processing .
Colorado Springs polics Officer Charles Hadley comments -
"When we arrived at the aircraft, there was a lot of commotion.
Two of the men began resisting arrest, and it wasn't until we
got them settled down that I noticed the third man looked
awfully familiar. After a few minutes it was clear that the
third man was indeed Harrison Ford."
DEA agent George Tobias - "I couldn't believe that we had just
arrested Harrison Ford for drug smuggling. While I was walking
with Ford, the only thing I aksed his was - "were you on drugs
when you made Kingdom of the Chrystal Skull?
Ford replied - "April fools!"
