Searching on the forum is kind of pointless as "hardware" turns up 50 pages of hits.
I saw a pic of a prototype head painted up and wondered if anyone out there has made up some parts or props from this movie. I know it kind of sucks as a movie, but I thought it was at least pretty. I was thinking about tackling the robot's head. I was also trying to find out who made the original I thought it was Mark Setrakian but I think that was "Death Machine"

No-one here has done it before (at least that I've seen), but I'm with you, I love it and would love a replica.

The original robot was made by Bob Keen of Image Animation which was based at Pinewood Studios.

Another one that's been on my to-do list for quite some time. Very little useful reference out there, and the film is pretty murky for making out details.

FYI, the film was released on Blu-ray a few months back; so if you have the ability to screencap from a BR, along with some graphics software (for enhancement purposes), you can get some fairly good reference material at this point... :cool

I read about the rerelease a couple of months ago which reminded me of this movie, and how bad I wanted a robot hand. I guess I'll have to get a PS3 now so I can grab the Blu-ray. The M.A.R.K. 13 head is defiantly going on my todo list.
