We did a show with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra recently, and I needed them fairly quickly, and just detailed enough to be recognized (along with being durable, inexpensive, and lightweight). So, with some awesome detail shots, and some measurements from e few members, here are my progress shots of my ANH Luke Skywalker macrobinoculars.

Total cost = nothing. Just some wood, plexiglass, PVC, various old dollar store camera parts, and odds-n-ends greeblies. Oops, no, sorry. I had to buy the two PVC test caps for a total of about fifty cents. :)
 
Thanks for posting those Tom--I still love how you managed to turn that tree trunk into a cool pair of macros. :lol
