Hard Boiled Slammer

Hi Guys, while not actually from a movie, I was asked to build a replica of the Slammer pistol from Frank Miller's and Geoff Darrow's "Hard Boiled" comic book. As it was never drawn the same way twice I tried to combine the elements to make it as chunky as possible - hope you like it!

i love that comic and you Slammer is BRILLIANT!!
amazing job!!!
thanks for posting pics!!!!

That's exactly how I would have seen it in real life! The weathering is absolutely breathtaking!
Okay, fess up...give us the parts list.

Thanks Guys! - the donor weapon base is a decent S&W 357 Magnum airsoft. Top slide and other detailing is from a thrift store toy 1911 automatic (not a very good one)

The rest is wood and MDF sheet, pop rivets etc - the paintjob brings it together and makes it convincing...

This is awesome.
I am a big Geof Darrow fan. Met him at last years SDCC.

You should get a picture of him holding it!

I'm afraid not - once I got going the thing came together pretty quick - three days and it was done - didn't think to record the build

I was just rereading Hard Boiled again today and thought about this thread. Awesome work.

And what thread doesn't benefit from more pics...
