Handmade Swords Website?

Hey everyone, I've been looking at buying a samurai sword from
handmadesword.com and I wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with them. I hope I'm not violating protocol in any way, but want to make sure that I'm dealing with a reputable group.

they look ok, but there is definitely a difference between 'hand forged' and 'handmade'

Sorry omen i have no any experience with that site, I checked this site and seem price is also very high. But i bought same like handmade japanese sword from another site (http://www.tudordressing.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=363_366) and price is also very low. I always use this site at the time of renaissance festival. You can also use it.

I have no idea about that site, but as for buying one, It depends what you want to use the sword for.
If I wanted something to hang on a wall then I would go to that kind of site, If I wanted to practice a martial art then I would go to a martial art supplier and not a site with kill bill replicas.

You might want to check out the forums on this site Sword Forum international and this site myArmoury.com. Someone may have posted info or a review on handmadesword.com.

I generally make it a policy not to even bother with any swordmaker who calls a katana a "samurai sword." It shows a lack of professionalism, a disregard for the art of swordmaking, and a disgrace to the sword itself to not call it by its name. To me, if a company cannot even call their products by their proper name, then I shudder to think of the quality of product they put out.

I would recommend moving on to another company that at least has the common decency to call a weapon by its proper name.
