The windlass should not be used for cutting, the handle is just a hollow tube, and the tang, as said in the video, is just secured with a screwed on nut and the pommel is glued on, it may hold up to a few cuts, but it may also fail on the first one...

The fittings on the windlass are also electroplated zamak not brass, I would not be brave enough to use a windlass for cutting until I had taken it apart and made it safe.

This is is of course only my opinion, I do collect functional swords, so am very wary of things that use shortcuts I see as unsafe, like the windlass does.

Yes you can make it saver, right. But its Fulltang and Carbon steel. The Zamac is really the hard one.I've seen a guy that made very strong epoxy in the hollow tube. The only thing I wanna say is that it is more a real sword as the Marto one thats only for decoration. The Albion is another level. But the Windlass has for me the best from both world to a really good price.I also think the color is spot on.From what year is your text from windlass?

I don't remedy how old that is, and again as I said that is only my opinion.

For me, I would not trust the windlass as is.

I do have all 6 Albion conan swords, but if I had to get another kind I would go for the ones by Ryan sword

Epoxy in the handle is definitely an option, but I would rather get something I did not need to fix.
