Halo Spartan foot to shin spacer.

well i havent seen this in many places but i wanted to share a foot spacer that i made the other day. it goes in between the shin piece and the foot piece. With it being there it allows the shin to set in the correct spot on my suit. here is a photo of what i am talking about.

it is made of rubber i turned it up on a lathe earlier.

i first got the idea to make that piece from this pic.

i know it is from another post but i dont think they will mind me using it to show something on here.

Hmm, clever. I'm assuming it would normally be part of the undersuit to ensure all bits of armour sit in the right place. Is it like a collar you slip your foot through?

I like that display though. Red room and a painting of Spawn, very dark.

That's pretty boss desolate. I think there might be a rubber PVC coupler that could work for people without access to a lathe. Probably won't look as good as a machined one like yours though. Nice job man!

well usually it looks like this

but my thigh pieces usally ride up a little higher than shown and it looks like there is a huge gap on my knees this piece allows it to be a lot more accurate and doesnt give the affect that masterchief's knees are smaller than most peoples biceps. lol

You also have stilts in yours don't you? Either way the spacers bump up the costume a couple notches.

Maybe I'm just a little short but I've always had a problem with the knees and ankles not having enough spacing on the joints with muckle-based pieces. That's why the flexifoamit casts have really appealed to me.

Those look great! I just used a double layer of 1/2" black closed-cell adhesive backed foam stuck to my boot collar but your solution looks like the way to go. Any issues with the shin slipping past the end of the collar? What did you use as a starting piece or did you tool it down from a raw block of rubber?

I have relatively short legs and have also had issues with the Muckle-sized leg pieces. I trimmed them are far as possible but you can only go so far...
