YouTube - Halo Reach Deliver Hope Trailer [HD]

Between all the high quality marketing and various studios such as WETA behind creating dramtic live action shorts, you'd think some one, somewhere would grab their nads and man up for a real motion picture.

It's frustrating to no end. There are countless stories, it just seems like there putting one foot through the threshold of a door and never fully stepping in...

Yeah, this one was very cool. Did you catch the cameos of the other members of Noble Team? Excluding Kat (Noble 2) and Thom 293 (the old Noble 6), I can spot Carter 259 (Noble 1), and Jorge 052 (Noble 5).

That does look pretty awesome. It's a crying shame the Blomkamp (sp?) movie didn't happen (I liked District 9 but I'd prefer to have seen a Halo film myself.)

I know it's sad to say but the drastic deviation from the "official" story in the novel is making my nerd-OCD flare up like an itch I can't quite scratch... but I'll live. Still looks to be an awesome game. :lol

Part of me would love to see a HALO movie, but the more logical side believes that Halo is at its best as a video game... As a movie I feel like I would always want to be IN the role, not watching it.

Same goes for Mass Effect, as much as I'd love to see a ME Prequel on the big screen, with all the leaps and bounds in video gaming technology I can't help but feel that I would be MUCH more attached to actually PLAYING another game that feels just as epic, and delivers a more intimate experience.

yeah they really need to make a movie to get more people involved. it is such a great style and feeling.. i love halo..

Alot of things that the masses overlook is the story(s). Yea, you have the main game story stretching over the 3 games featuring the Chief. But you have many multiples of stories from the novels, halo 3: odst, and now Reach.

Whoever is willing to write a script for a Halo related film has many angles, stories and characters to portray. The plain and simple truth is that if done right, with a good writer, a Halo based film can be VERY successful

Oh and for those that don't know, the trailer is not of them on Reach. It's been said that it depicts how Kat lost her arm in combat, and it's also suggested that the Noble 6 you see is the previous team member you replace in the game

All the halo live actions were good. They'd mess it up as a hollywood movie though. If anything i'd get the guy who did mortal combat and resident evil as at least his game movies have the spirit of the games to them.

Face it, unlike District 9, Halo ain't got no soul. There is no movie in that property.

It's about as deep as the Mario brothers (and I'm saying that as a guy who was hired to work on that movie).

Don't tell me your comparing a potential halo movie to that of the Super Mario film :lol

If that's the case, then I feel you don't really know enough about halo to really make a justified claim/assumption. I feel you are only looking at the game's themselves instead of the whole picture

Hey man you're forgetting Street Fighter the movie cinematic gold. :lol

@ tubachris85x come on man don't be playing the it would be a great story card.
You know that if (and please i hope not) a movie ever got made the last thing it would revolve around would be a deep storyline it would just be a see how much action and sfx we can cram into 90 minutes fest.

Imho Halo could me made into an amazing movie or movies . This coming from a guy who's a big fan, has his own set of ODST armor and has NEVER played any of the games. The halo universe is rich with stories to be told. Just masterchiefs story alone would warrant an epic movie.

But the thing is that we play the game and don't feel the need to see how master chief looks like under the helmet but if it was a movie they would need to show how he looks under the helmet thus making some of the game magic disappear.
Just look at the Stallone Dredd movie.
I can't remember a movie that has the main character in a helmet all the movie. (and No, Vader don't count because its luke thats the main character.:))
