HALO mongoose.

For lack of knowing a better place to post I'm going to post this here.

June 1st marks the 2 weeks before I move on from working at McFarlane Toys. I thought I would share some pics of a few things I worked on. I couldn't really mention where I worked before for understandable reasons.:rolleyes

Here is another project that took a combined effort to meet a deadline. This one has not been released yet. In the picture is what is called a "test shot". For those of you who don't know, a test shot is a sample of the toy that has not been painted and is used for QA prior to the toys release. A test shot isn't made available to the public. It will come with a windshield and I don't know why it's not already attached on this one. The mongoose is made in scale with the figures unlike the chopper.

The 3D printer that made the original "rough" could have had better resolution. I added details that were omitted or lost in the print, corrected wheel strut angles, and some other stuff but it's been so long since I worked on it that I don't recall everything without looking at my notes. We got started on this quite a while ago and finally we expect it to be released soon.

Another cool item!

Can you give a brief explanation of the "3d printer?" I've heard of a 3D laser scanner before but not a 3d printer.

Thats really cool! I've been an avid collector of the Mcfarlene Halo series. My last purchase was of the Hunter, and I don't know where I'll fit anymore! Thanks for sharing this!

My dad is an industrial tech professor and teacher. He just ordered a 3d printer for the school he currently teaches at. Having access to the wood and metal CNC machines is great, but I can't wait to play with the 3d printer!
