Deprecated Halo 4/5 Master Chief Helmet

Before I post pictures... I have to say this first. The very reason I got into prop building was, because I always (!!!) wanted to have a Master Chief Armor! Halo introduced me to my first very own console. Before that I had always shared a SNES or a N64 wit my brother. And it brought a lot of fun, meeting up with friends to play LAN-Games and so on.
So, building this was a matter close to my heart. So, long story short... I looked at some of the Papakura files and found that Harnor's file was the closest to the new Helmets (Halo 4/5). I got in touch with him last year, and asked him if it was okay to use his file and modify it. He had no problem with that so I went ahead and used the in-game model rip to get the overall shape right, looked at a ton of reference pics and added all the small details one by one.
And then, I printed it... and not too soon because right after that my computer crashed and took all the files with it... Still trying to get the data back. But at least I got to print this one right here. Took me 160 hours of printing time.

In my quest of getting the perfect MC helmet I had bought 2 helmets by other artists myself. Unfortunately I never quite found what I was looking for. I am sure some of you guys are familiar with the work of Impact Props. They took over the work of Evoc Props by Will Cherry, who was active here on theRPF as well. He had an awesome model and started a run, collecting money but never delivered the helmet. Impact Props came to the rescue and finished his work. I was lucky to finally get my copy of the helmet but it was waaaay to big for a guy like me (5'7"). It was pretty much made for someone who had the actual height of Master Chief :D
Here is a comparison

I need 5 people to get started with the Run. I really hope this gets some interest :)

The perfect MC helmet would be the one in Halo 3 ;)
Being the same height as John-117, I would be interested in a perfected Halo 3 helmet. Food for thought if you ever go that route :)

Might be good to see it in perspective to a person. Maybe a shot of it being worn. I am having a hard time gauging it, especially in comparison to the other larger helmet.

Possibly interested depending how it sizes up.

I'm experimenting with some material for the visor. This stuff is pretty reflective from one side but the visibility from the other side is great as well. Might just work out for the visor. I'm also working on the honeycomb pattern for the visor as well. I'll be posting updates here as I go.

Still working on the visor. I vacuum-formed one for testing the material. But it is harder than I thought to add the metallic tint. If there is any input... I'm all ears.

Dear Nicholas,
I am very sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the cast. I saw that you opened a case on paypal and wrote here in the thread and made this a public affair without contacting me at all beforehand. These matters are best resolved when communicating directly and openly with each other. I will respond on Paypal as well of course. And you are right, there are some defects on the cast. Tiny air bubbles can be trapped in intricate parts. Especially with this mold which had to capture complex details. That can only be minimized by degassing or pressure casting. And even then there is no way to ensure a complete bubble free cast. I do degassing to produce an almost air free resin-mixture. The only way to have a perfect cast is to use injection molding and that is some industrial-style stuff. And that of course costs much more.
In my opinion: even though there are some defects on the cast, this does not qualify as a B-Cast. This is the first time I have received any negative Feedback for this or any other helmet I have made. I am truly sorry it does not meet your expectations. As for your request for a refund: I see 2 possibilities here.
1. We can talk about a partial refund.
2. You send the helmet back to me and I can give you a refund for the price of the helmet and shipping it TO you. You'd have to pay for shipping it back to me yourself.

I hope we can resolve this in a reasonable fashion. Please contact me via PM or Paypal.

Thank you

I must have to said I'm really disapointed by the quality of your cast...

You sold me an A-grade item and you send me this, pics are better than thousand words. :

I can understand one or two bubble or even a light modl slip...But seriously this an awfull cast. You clearly stated on your mail that you have a clean cast and don't have any B pull on hand...Seriously this is even worst than a B-pull.

I had to look up his height to figure it out and I am baffled that you are 6 foot 10 inches. I don't find it hard to believe because my uncle is 6'8, But I am still surprised. If you have full Spartan armor, your height should be 7'2 with it on.

I'm not able to open the .pdo files on pepakura, any suggestions? Also, if you can't direct me to opening a .pdo, could you perhaps send me the images themselves?
