Hair punching into rigid sculpts... possible?

Hi, I'm currently 3D printing Peter Cushing! Working on a full size Grand Moff Tarkin. Does anyone have any experience punching (or otherwise attaching) hair into a rigid sculpt? The challenge is that Cushing's hair was very thin and balding when Star Wars was filmed so a wig would just look awful, it needs to show a lot of scalp.

Generally you'll end up gluing hair onto a rigid piece. I don't think it's possible to punch. Look into how hair is laid for makeup effects.
