H2 screen used mask, knife & book

I was on a trip to LA over the holiday weekend and was staying with Tyler, Renae (who had a small part in the film as Deputy Gwynne) and the kids.
I could not resist taking some shots of his mask, knife and the new book. The book shots did not turn out well, I took some insides because this was the screen used book that Laurie looks through so it has actual real "Loomis" written text inside as well as pictures (shots taken on the set during the first Halloween filming, it was a cool book.
(and yes I did tell him -again- that the mask from the first film needs a full head to keep it's shape in the display:rolleyes)

I got to meet Tyler and Ranae while they were filming H2 down here. It was an absolute thrill. They were very cool to me, and I'll never forget it. I finally got to see a Halloween movie being made! A dream come true. I'm a diehard longtime fan of the series and characters.

Tyler is the best version of Michael Myers since Castle, and he's certainly way cooler and more gracious/kind to his fans than Castle is.

I loved the hell out of H2. I cant wait for the directors cut. Hell who am I kidding, I need to go see it again while it's still in the cinema.

It's sad that critics and people trashed it like they did. If they changed the characters names and the title was different. I have no doubt that it would be hailed as a horror masterpiece.

Some people just can't see past the "It's not like Halloween/Myers/Loomis/Laurie/Carpenter" mindset. It's Rob Zombie's Halloween. He kept his word on making it his own this time. I like it more than the remake because of it absolute originality.
I never once felt like I was pulled out of the film comparing what I was watching/seeing to something I saw in a previous Halloween.
Time has jaded the fans. The Original Halloween 2 has lots of stupid stuff in it, but we forgive it (Don't make me list them)
Time will be kind to this film, opinions will change. It will go big within 10 years time and maybe one day people will say it was messed up to make the sequels without Rob's involvement.

I know lots of people wont say that now, because it's not fashionable to do so, but trust me time will favor this movie very well.

Enough of my babble. Cool pictures, Thanks for sharing.

Tyler is one of the nicest guys ive met in the business in a long time (Derek Mears is another). I would love to hear what else he has prop wise at his house. A few years ago i had a nice long conversation with him when he was in Troy. I use to own his war hammer, and he told me that was one of the few props he would have loved to keep but couldnt figure out how to get it on the plane lol. Ill see if i can dig up a pic i took of him holding the prop

Tyler is a great guy, I actual first met him about 8 years when he was dating his now wife, Renae (who is one of my best friends, and my former boss) and we all have become friends - I use to kick his butt in Playstation 2 football, now he kicks mine in COD4:rolleyes He does have some other props from Troy, his son has one of the swords, and he has the Wolverine necklace that he takes from Wolverine in X-Men, and a few other odds & ends like the ID wristband he gave me as a souvenir from the first film, as well as the medical file on Micheal from the first film (really cool as it is complete in every detail inside.)

I had someone here making me a copy of the Orange "Pumpkin mask" from the first film based on a bunch of referance shots I took of it at Tyler's house but that person turned out to have difficulties (not related to my project) and was banned - so no mask for me.:unsure

Funny fact is that he is friends with Derek Mears who lives just down the street from Tyler, they just need Jackie Earle Haley (the New Freddy Kruger) to move in and they will have a scary little PTA meeting.

The more and more I watch RZ's Halloween the more I like it, and these props are just awesome!

Tyler is with out a doubt the nicest celeb I have ever met, I was on set for filming H and was a featured extra in the phantom jam scene....... as a die hard Halloween fan I love the I am a part of the legacy....... I just hate the fact that it was in with out a doubt the worst Halloween film and IMO the worst movie ever made (opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one and they all stink)........ but there I am.... for 10 secs.... Laurie (scout) reaches out for me...... it pays to talk vintage clothing shopping with the actors......

the screen used knife (or one of them) is in the possession of the "non-union" phantom jam quardnator... he..... borrowed it when going back to get his artwork along with a few other H2 mementos

Heres some more screen used knives. They are in my possession lol. I also just picked up the hero book from the "Chett the bringer of death" scene. Its got the picture inserts and its signed by Malcom as Dr. Loomis to "Chett the bringer of death". I'll post some pictures of the book once I finish paying it off lol
