Green Lantern Movie Ring

New to the boards, started searching for props and other stuff and found this site.

If anyone figures out how to make these i'd like to be first in line for an orange one.


I think this movie is going to be awesome, although i'm not to impressed by the power battery as of right now. As with other movies though it's all about the mighty dollar, so they have to make this movie appealing to people who have no idea who the Green Lanterns are or what they are all about.

I was wondering if glass was an option, or is it to breakable. I think the ring is awesome looking.

Honus touched on that..very expensive mold and very labor intense.
I have glass blower friends and could talk to them about it but am sure it just to high for what anyone is going to want to pay.

Display ring is easy- just make it like the prop is or a little better since we all know time was and is never an option when working on a movie.

maybe a candy version will come out like a GEM candy ring

they have green lantern snack cakes- wouldn't green lantern ring pops be obvious?

just reading the historical artifacts replicas thread and saw a post where someone said there are alot of tricks to making jade with a polymer clay would this be at all usefull for the front of the ring? or is it too brittle?

polymer clay is soft..kinda like wood

New to this forum, found it looking for the GL rings and very happy to have found this. Saw the thread in the Junkyard and that ring is looking great. Very high hopes but, as someone already mentioned, $$$ is a factor. Here's to seeing a finished version!

So, I still want one of these promo rings! Sure, there will probably (hopefully) be better replicas later, either from the RPF, or from an official licensee, but I don't care! This is the FIRST official replica of the movie power ring, and I want it!!! As a Green Lantern Super Fan, I must have it!!! We wantsss the precioussss!!!! :love

So, um, I've been keeping a close eye out. None of these have turned up on eBay!

So, umm... anyone know who I have to kill to get my hands on one of these?!? :confused

And again, I mean THE EXACT RING IN THE PICTURES, not one of the ring replicas that a couple RPFers are working on. I want the first official replica of the movie ring, and only it will do!

Only five people like it, but it's a start.

I was trying to convince the people at WB that Kobe isn't wearing the GL ring to the supermarket and getting a million questions about it, I AM.

Kanye ain't wearing a GL hoodie in front of 4000 kids everyday at this day job in a High school, I AM!

Or at least, I would be if I had some of this cool swag.

Well, here is the first look at the power battery. Very alien looking, but it fits in with the design of the suit and the ring.

It looks like it's being powered by a TRON identity disc! :lol
