Graflex Preferences? Best Parts Resources?

I currently own a Jeff Parks ANH saber....nice saber....but it gave me the itch for a REAL graflex.

So I won this on eBay last night...at a real good price....62 bucks!!!

Now, would you rather have a geniune ANH graflex or genuine ESB saber?

Im leaning towards ESB, but I just wanted some opinions.

Also, where is the best place to order a replacement bottom from??? Plz no one say parks....:lol
I also need two real OR replica buttons...preferably real...

Hmmm I though it was supposed to be a 3 cell? I would go with the ANH I have always been partial to that model.

you can get replica 3 cell bottom and just toss the 2 cell one out. then you have a great graflex.

I think the ESB is better looking and more significant in terms of SW lore (he fights vader. Luke doesn't use it at ALL in ANH).

Well... I'm going to "kinda" say Parks. :angel

I'd just use the bottom shell and other parts you need from your Parks until you find original parts.

Since you already have a replica bottom, I'd suggest drilling into that for the ESB version. My vote for an original Graflex would be ANH version.

Well I found a replica ESB bottom for 40 plus 6 shipping. Does this sound reasonable to you guys? The holes are predrilled.
Im going to make the original a ANH, and the Parks a ESB. I just can't bring myself to pull off a original beer tab from a real graflex.

Whichever version you do, I would suggest making an attempt to go with all real parts. After the graflex, its not that much more expensive to find the parts. Go to Saberfreak for the t-track and if you can hold out, I'm sure you can find a real circuit board in the JY.

I have all original parts for my ANH Graflex and its a great feeling.

I would love to do all real parts, but Im sure theyre going to show up slowly. I have seen VERY FEW original bottoms for sale...

Ill just have to use the parks button and glass eye and bottom unitl I can find the real parts....

i had got one off ebay before, that had a couple extra bottoms with it. you might have to either find maybe another 2 cell, that might have some longer bottoms with it, or buy a 3 cell.

i have a few myself, all real except one, which is a larbel esb replica.

i turn most of mine into working luxeon sabers with sound.

I'm not a saber man, but I was thinking about trying a build, but the flash tubes are a bit too expensive for me at the moment. I'm not a stickler for "all original". Any place I should know about?

There are a couple of graflex replica hilts on e-bay right now, around 115 including shipping, so thats not a bad price i think.

What do you search for? "replica graflex" just brings up 2 completed sabers. And 115 for a replica tube? wow.

oh yessir theyre ten times brighter than a stock MR. theres even convert kits for the FX MR stock sabers to turn them into a fully hardcore dueler. you can remove the blade, no electrics in blade after the convert.
