Good place to find emblems and man panties for superheroes?

Getting a costume together with a friend, and it's the standard "body suit and brief" look, but he's undecided on if he wants to be superman or bizarro or even the Phantom.

Since this annoys me, I am annoying him by referring to his costume briefs as "man panties" and will continue to do so until he makes up his friggin mind.

However, we need help (mentally and physically) to get this done, and need pointing in the right direction to get a place or person who makes these type of items. Apparently someone is "too high class" for spray painted BVDs :lol

There's a lot of results in the search engine, but there are a TON of scam reports and I have been burnt trying to buy costume stuff in the past.

So, who is the best recommendation for this kinda stuff, and also who does good work for a good price? We aren't looking to spend 500$ or 1000$ dollars on a complete costume, we just need an emblem and some "man panties", maybe a cape as well.

If you are going to tell me that you, yourself, make "man panties" and do an awesome job, I am going to need some references.

And, one last time. MAN PANTIES :lol

(yep, he's pissed :lol )

Why not use actual panties? I believe they come in many shapes and sizes and wouldn't have the hole in front like male undergarments.

Also I believe the the politically correct term is "manties"

You might try reading a few threads over at the League of Heroes. Kinda get a feel for who they use.

Dale Morton (Vermithrax4 on here) is who I use exclusively for my spandex sewing needs. He has sewn my Deathstroke, Taskmaster and my X-Men Banshee costume.

If you don't have a ton of money to expend on top-of-the-line seamstressing, the chinese zentai sellers do a decent job on basics like manties. Cosfun, Cosplay365buy, milanoo, etc.

The zentai dealers are a good, cheap option.

For standard bodysuits, Bal Togs dance wear is a good option and they make "manties" as well. I have used Bal Togs on many occasions for base suits for my nephew's costumes, Superman being one of them. Greenarrowfl on the League of Heroes has actually made a pair of Phantom striped manties and his work is top notch.

I guess the bottom line is, these are just like anything else: you're going to pay a bit more for quality manties, but there are GREAT ways to DIY without a seamstress.

Manties.

Appreciate the advice guys.

Gonna see if he wants to go the cheap cosplay man panty way, or if he wants to go the custom made man panty way.

Also gonna see if he can make up his god damned mind on who he wants to be, or what he wants the costume for.

The bodysuit was already decided as a dance suit, but those dance panties look like grandma undies moreso than hero MAN PANTIES. Is there a particular style for men?

Thanks!!
Chris

Unless your friend is extremely short-waisted, that style I posted is what he'll want. Remember, there will be a belt, too. If you get a low rise brief, he'll look like he's wearing a speedo. :eek

I actually use the dance briefs on Taskmaster (Dale made then ones for Deathstroke). I got the high waisted so You couldn't see the suit between the belt and briefs. As long as you follow the size chart, you'll be fine. I'll post pics in a bit so you can see.
