My local Toys R Us had all the GC toys on sale at 50% off! I picked up the $15 airship for $7.99 and the Alethiometer for $9.99! Woo hoo!
For those who have resisted getting one (like me), it looks MUCH, MUCH better outside the package. The detail is really nice. I just have to do something about those crappy plastic hands....

Toys R Us has lowered the prices of GC toys AGAIN. Action figures for $3 and the Alethiometer for $5.00 (originally $20)!! I picked up an extra in case I screw up the first trying to accurize it.
Apologise for reanimating an old thread but I’d love to make/acquire one of these or a similar replica prop for my girlfriend. If anyone knows of any that are available please let me know. Had a search around on usual sale sites and no luck yet. This conversion is stunning, beautifully done sir.
