Godzilla Resurgence what is Shin Godzilla?

Im confused is this crinkly crispy thing new Godzilla or is this a version of a metamorphosis or something? Im still pissed about fat Godzilla and Iguana Godzilla and Godzilla with the annie eyeballs

Shin Godzilla means "new" and this is said to be a whole new take on him,I guess you could say they're starting from zero.

I just really can't get into this new design. So much just doesn't look right about it. Anatomically, the parts just don't fit together as well as other designs. I know it's a made up monster movie and can look however they want, but still.....
