Godzilla (2014)

I thought the director sort of confirmed Rodan.

If he did than awesome, I forget where I read it but I saw two different articles (probably quoting the same source) saying that they were all original kaiju. Which kind goes along with the toy prototype I posted awhile back.

I don't remember seeing this guy in any of their movies. But then again Im not a huge G-man.

Either way I'm still really looking forward to it

BTW, I went to TRU today, no giant Godzilla but they did have atomic roar G-man and that muto vs. godzilla set. He looks terrible. The muto, I can't make out what it should be related to. It does have a sort of rib cage, and those are definitely wings. I just have no clue what it is inspired from.

The head makes me think of Gyaos a bit.

And holy crap if that isn't Rodan then it sure is damn close!

Not sure if I am a fan of the skin texture. He looks a lot like rock.

No matter what though, I am first in line for this.

I watched a few Youtube videos on the toys last night and that picture looks damn close, angle makes it look off but I must say I'm more and more pleased with Godzilla's look....has a very dinosaur feel and it reminds a lot of the later versions, just more bulky and dangerous.

Here is the write up Netflix has on it's site>

"Godzilla rises from the sea once more in this remake of the original Japanese monster saga, which was first unleashed on the world in 1954. In this version the fire-spewing giant sides with humanity to battle against equally terrifying beasts."

He sides with humanity? Really?

Typically after stomping the hell out of our cities and military first. LOL
Godzilla is both our payback and champion at times.

Eeeeeeen~he could, because he has in the past, although it was usually three shades of goofy, that crap started after Gamera caught on and I think they should confine it to the big turtle.

Better is that he just hates whatever is trying to kill us so goes all smashy on it-then turns on us after he's done! :lol

I suspect the MUTO/Rodan-like thing is worse than G is for humanity. Perhaps they are seen to usher in a new era on earth without humans.
Thus if G kicks it's/their ass we aren't going to complain.
