I second the hot glue.....works quite well for most things.....I used hot glue to glue foamies to foamies, and to foam mats.....although I found I had to use High temp, and do it quick!

in fact i did try the hot glue on the dread when i was trying to attach the dread rings and it literally melted almost completely through the dread, but now that i think about it, it may work for attaching them tho the head. ill give it a try and let ya know. thanx!

Good luck with that...hope it works out!

no-go on the hot glue. suckers popped right off. looks like ill have to hunt down some of that uf glue

I've always used superglue to attach dreads to the heads. Works great for the most part. Once in a while one may come unglued, but just trim a little off the end of the dread where the glue hardened initially and re-superglue it. I was using the Medium consistancy gap filling Cynoacrylate from the hobby shops, not the cheap thin tubes you find everywhere.

Homax brand "Household WELDER Contact Adhesive" works great for bonding flexible materials like Foam together. It's easily one of my two favorite types of adhesives which I use most often, the other being Gorilla Glue. I use the Household WELDER for quite a large number of different applications since it's incredibly strong & will remain rather flexible once it's dry, unlike Gorilla Glue which dries rock hard. I get it from Walmart for about $3-$4 a tube.

There's more info about it on the Homax website, so here's the link:

Hey, i assume when you say foam you mean open cell foam, or upolstry foam? If that is the case, i have always used a product called Barge Cement. Its a type of rubber cement that is used to attach the soles of shoes to the leather. It works wonders on foam and it stays flexible when dry. Also spray 90, an arisol adhesive you can get at any home depot or lowes also will work, but is generaly beter for attaching sheets toghether. I hope this helped!
