Below are some pics of the Apple Vision Pro light seal cushion. Its made of a rubber base with rubber encased magnets along its length and it has a foam inner core (see cutaway) that's covered with a soft fabric of some sort (maybe polyester). I'm trying to determine the best way to remove, flatten or shrink the foam on the sides and bottom and leave the foam across the brow area as is.
For the option to remove the foam, the obvious option is to cut a slit in the fabric at the point in which I want to remove the foam and pull the foam out with needlenose pliers or similar tool. That's option 1.
Option 2 would be a non invasive means of flattening or shrinking the foam only along the sides and bottom. The foam across the brow area I want to leave intact. I'm seeking advice from you guys on how to achieve option 2 if its even possible without cutting into the cloth.
Photo is of another user who took the idea and basically cut off the ends. I would have cut them much higher but the objective here is not to have to cut any of the structure, just remove or flatten the foam along the sides and the bottom.
