Gatekeeper droid

Hey guys...as I'm waiting for odd parts to finish ongoing projects, I thought I'd squeeze in a couple that I've had on my to-do list.

First up is the bad tempered eyeball from Jabba's palace door, or Gatekeeper droid. I have pretty much used 'Howlrunner's' excellent build for all the necessary reference pics...so thanks dude.

So I modelled all the parts in Blender and printed everything.



Used toughened glass in the eye and some blinky LED's and just started putting it all together

So this prop is done...all painted and weathered, with the flashing lights in the eye and the sound loop from the film set up on a bluetooth speaker

Had a lot of fun making this one and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out
