smurfs in NYC??? How many times have they done the lets bring x to the big city and it fails? They should have kept it in the country.

they had steve carrell for the longest but I guess his schedule got in the way. I've seen some of the effects for this and it looks great - the Smurfs at least, look like they did in the cartoon but -y'know, real.

Actually it's a pretty good representation. I keep getting the Chipmunks movie feel from this, and since that was horrible, I have no choice but to assume this will. But we'll see.

Well, after checking out the IMDB on The Smurfs and seeing the voice talent and the writers, I gotta say I'm not anticipating liking this movie.

What are you talking about, dude, I see smurfs all the time in the City. Forget about it, they're freakin' everywhere. Always with their little hands out asking for change. They're worse than the homeless.
