Pegasus Hobbies in addition to doing a model of the NSEA Protector is also doing models of the Nebulizer and the VOX as a set.

From the Starship Modeler site: "1/1 scale ''ION Nebulizer & VOX Communicator Set'': Full size prop replicas of the gun and communicators used in the movie. The nebulizer comes with clear lenses cast in blue with functioning trigger. The VOX comes with spring loaded flip-open mouth piece. Though engineered to facilitate lighting, neither the kit nor the pre-finished model will come with lights or sound. The models were created using design data and images of the original studio props received from Paramount Pictures. The pre-finished set comes in full color window display box. Price and release date are also TBA".

Ahhh...Very, Very interesting!!!!

I see myself picking up one of those kits or maybe a unfinished and finished. Based on prices of other kits they might very well be pretty inexpensive. It also says they were engineered for lighting with the nebulizer having clear lenses cast in blue and a functional trigger. Thanks for the info!!

That's pretty cool, so these are models, not toys? Cuz the packaging looks rather toy-like, and a toy pricetag would be more appealing. :)

models

they're doing with the nebulizer and vox what they did with the WOTW ship... giving model builders an opportunity to do it their way, or giving novices something they can build with no finishing experiece

both are gonna find a way into my collection

I'm interested in picking them up, but it depends on the price. I've liked Galaxy Quest since before I was really into Star Trek, but other things take priority.

Huh, I knew about the model ship but prop replicas too? Very cool, I'll buy a few...or ten. :lol

Well, based on their other product's prices, they could run (I really hope so anyway) for under $40 finished and under $20 for a kit. Again, that is based on their current prices for other kits in the same category. Keep your fingers and toes crossed!:lol

I was getting a little concerned about the ship. It had been announced at the time the WOTW ships came out, then nothing. I'm glad there is more news now, and with props! Now, who is going to do a little sound board for these?

You know I did actually think of that but I like mine better. :cool

Just keep "what a savings" handy for when the kits get marked down. :D

I challenge you to work out a context for, "you shall be avenged." :lol

If they do end up at $20 for a pair of kits (from the packaging it looks as though they come together) I don't think they could get marked down. I'd be plenty happy paying that much, especially if somebody comes up wit electronics for them.

That's to be used when you get a wonky kit that won't fit together and have trouble getting a replacement or refund.

That's usually when I just yell,

"KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!"

.... wait for it...

"KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!"

:D
