Gaffi stick steel spike source?

I couldn't sell my Gaffi stick so I'm going to make proper steel blades and have them welded on and a spike. My spike is wood and looks okay, but I figure I might as well go all out. Does anyone have a source for a similar spike that is steel? I don't have an angle grinder or anything suitable to cut a chunk of metal that thick (safely anyway), so I don't think I could make one. My tube is 1" diameter, so I'm guessing the inner diameter is probably 3/4".

How about making a mold of the spike and melting pewter into it, it's a great low melt low cost material ?
I source old tankards from thrift stores for like £1/£$1 and melt it in a tin can over a flame.

Do you have something that can cut thinner metal? Ive seen people buy a hollow aluminum square rod and then cut out the triangle shapes on the end and bend/fold them to a point. You can then use some epoxy putty to fill gaps.

That's a good idea! I'm still looking for a least effort idea, but I'm keeping that one ready.
Also I've seen people role/curled a thin sheet of Alluminium and cut with some $5 tin snips and fettle the edge with a hammer then back fill with resin and a thread to attach it to the main body. You could do similar with Alluminium fins which slot into the shafts epoxy style then make fake weld lines with a glue stick or the tried and tested superglue and Bi carb powder. Can't remember who but sure I've seen tutorials on YT.

Oh a very quick, I'm thinking of a seed planting dibber!

Not sure on dimensions but it might already be threaded too?

If i may chime in.....

What we are talking about here is not a cheap toy, so i assume you want an upgrade, not any cheap replacement?

If you do a good draft with the wanted dimension and angles, additional some detail pics of the welded spots and hammered sections of the screenused piece, nearly any basic metal shop can do that between 2 coffees.

The welding won't be a problem. My nephew's friend is a welder and has one at his house, so that part is covered. He's a bit of a goof, but I would think it's hard to mess up spot welds.

I Googled some more and I would have thought someone would make stakes in that shape, but haven't come up with anything. I think at this point I may just leave the spike because even though it's wood, it looks correct.
