Futuristic Looking Wrist Watch (nice but inexpensive?)

Hey friends,

I am in need of a Futuristic looking wrist watch for my project. I need something nice, futuristic looking, but nothing expensive.

Anyone have any ideas that might help? The watch could be unique, different, whatever. Just something unusual enough to look like it would be used possibly several hundred years from now, and yet NOT cost hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

Suggestions from my fellow prop fiends?

I was looking at watches on the Walmart site the other day, trying to find a Casio I had seen, and they had a few watches that weren't bad. Not sure if these would be something you could use and maybe modify a bit...

Not with some of those japanese future watches.
You have to have a decoder to figure them out.

I'm a sucker for the Tokyo Flash watches, got a Pimp "Pimpin' Aint Easy", a Barcode and another Pimp that they don't seem to do anymore- they're all easy to read once you get the hang of them!

I have an older version of the universal remote watch....used to have fun in bars with it. One night my wife and I were out for dinner at a place with lots of lcd tv's. I overheard a nearby table ask the waitress if they could change the channel. The waitress never came back and they were getting annoyed so I went over and changed the channel for them. They were all very amused and one girl at the table said, "James Bond...are you single?!?!" We got a good laugh....I was there with my girlfriend.

I wear a Fossil LED watch -seemed like a nice compromise between the Masters watch from Doctor Who and Captain Jacks vortex manipulator!
These can be snapped up on ebay for 40 or 50 dollars.

If it has to tell time then keep looking... if that's not a requirement then any little peice of tech that you strap a watchband to could be a watch. Just a suggestion, as long as it doesn't have to tell time that is.

Actually, if you want a futuristic remote control watch, go to ebay. Over 250 listed and at LEAST 25% of them are under 10 bucks.

It's mainly a review site, but it's easy to find the makers with links. I have an LED adidas watch with a leather band, I sanded off the adidas symbol so it looks pretty original.

I've had three parcels from them, and they've all been trackable to my door, and none of them took more than five days- all the way to the United Kingdom!

I'd reccommend them!
