Fully Functional Evil Dead Chainsaw (Mk II)

Hello again, everyone! I'm back, and I've upgraded the working Evil Dead Chainsaw-hand prop from last year. It is now a lot sturdier, and looks more movie-styled than last time I was here. It now works independently from the shotgun harness, and I plan to put on a lighter, more deadly-looking blade before it's debut this October at Spooky Empire here in Orlando.

Enjoy!

That is awesome. I've seen a lot of ED chainsaws but that's the first functional one IIRC!

Time to kill Deadites. :D

Thanks for the responses, guys. I've also re-done my shotgun holster/harness as well, so I'll be sporting that new getup at Spooky Empire as well. If all goes according to my design, I should be able to start-up the chainsaw using the harness as well.

Ooooo.... Post a vid when you do! :love

Quick question. How does it feel when you have your hand in it and it's running? Lots of vibrations & hot?

The vibrations aren't too bad at all, and because of the nature of the prop, you usually don't have it gunned full blast for more than a few seconds at a time, so the heat doesn't even really have a chance to get up too high. The cuff keeps me separated from the saw, so it never really becomes an issue.

Groovy. :)

oh man, that is sweet! Great job :thumbsup
Is that a connection from your bicep to the throttle?
