Full Size Disney Galaxy's Edge Millennium Falcon

Yeah, not good. I still love them only because Mark, Carrie and Harrison are there.. and Chewie and the Falcon.
The original cut of ANH was aweful too until Lucas put together a second editing team which included his wife, Macia Lucas.
Maybe Disney needs to put the old band back together for future episodes.

yeah the overhang was too long I think. And the cockpit instruments were not placed correctly like the side ones had different colours from the movies and the lights on them were too light to.

Can't wait to see this bad boy opening weekend. Rumors are Disney will be selling tickets for opening weekend on top of the park ticket. I'm hoping to snag a soft opening visit with my AP.

I wonder how crowded the soft opening will be...

Just heard a news report..... Disney is raising the price of admission ahead of the opening of the Star Wars Land.

They spent a ton, so they're asking one too. They will probably make their costs back fairly quickly. I must say, that the quality of the "look" of everything they build is great, even though most of the new attractions actual "ride" part is pretty conventional and sometimes a letdown. Everything now seems to be just heavily themed roller coasters and over-priced food and beverages. Just eye candy can only keep people interested for so long. When you wait in line for hours and the actual ride is only mediocre, it kind of takes the Magic out of the experience. I wonder when the fans of Disney will just stop paying the over-weight entrance gelt for just nice looking stuff.

I can appreciate the fact that they spend a ton of money, but they're also making boat loads too. They own Marvel, Fox, Indian Jones, etc... And I'm all for them making money, but it would be nice (though I get that they aren't required to) if they made getting to go to the park a bit more affordable. Anyway, I won't rant about the prices more. I do think they are knocking it out of the park in terms of detail they are putting into this. It's pretty incredible, just like their pr.... oh, nevermind :D

But really, the Falcon looks great!

I’d love for Disney to take once a year give trips to orphanages, or needy family’s...

I know of make a wish.. but I wish Disney as a company themselves would make a effort to do this annual thing of bringing kids in that would never be able to see it on their own...

That would be awesome :) The kids would lose it!

In terms of Disney offering charitable visits, a quick google search turned this up: https://www.gktw.org/help/bio/disney.php

And I bet there's other stuff, too. I'm not sure why you'd assume they don't do this kind of thing.

As for Galaxy's Edge, my wife and I are considering a visit to Disneyland in October for our 5th Anniversary. I know it will be insane but I'm not sure we can wait a few years until it might be a little less nuts.

Really love this sentiment...

Here's what it's like inside Disney's 'Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run' ride

I wonder how they plan to stop the crowds from damaging/destroying the rides. I can't figure out if they're planning to install guiderails and barriers, but it doesn't sound like it. Maybe there going to do repairs every night?

I would have to imagine that after all the money, thought and work put into this project, that they have had that in mind when developing everything. Nothing is worse than entering a set up that's suffering due to wear from inconsiderate park goers.

Number one probably the most touched things i.e. the star wars version of chess, Dejarik is probably going to be metal the foam from the chairs is going to be very hard. The only thing I would be concerned about would be the buttons. I know too many little kids who destroy buttons. I have no idea how or why, it just happens apparently. I am interested in what the floor format is because of the floor format is different in literally every book that talks about it. I am probably going there just to the specs of the Dejarik table because I am going to build with flush with buttons with light emanating from them. It is interesting that in photos the lighting is a different hue from ANH so that is interesting I guess. There is no step going out of the main hold while in ANH there is. Again though every movie the specs for the ship were different so perhaps that was just a discrepancy or just a different plan for the ship from another movie that is not ANH. We will see...

this is the ANH example of different color of hue of the light and the step from ANH

That was what first made me wonder – the riders are going to interact with the buttons and switches as a requirement for the ride. I can see that getting damaged very very easily.
