Frist Time With Latex Painting

Hello to all! I wanted to ask you some questions about painting the latex being the first time I do it.
I know that need acrylics but I was wondering if you need to give a base before giving the color.
I also wanted to know kind what of color is shiny that by the end ... It is always latex or a type of color?

purchase( or order online )  something called "prosaid".. it is a medical adhesive that is white in color and has the consistency of water. either mix acrylic paint, prosaid and water into something called PAX and pass it through your airbrush OR paint a layer of prosaid on your latex piece first ..then spray your thinned down acrylic. Prosaid allows for acrylic to "stick" to latex without later peeling off. To acheive the "wet" look after painting, either use gloss medium, Perma-wet. or V-gloss
